In the 3.x versions of Bibletoolbar the install ID has been changed.
If it is updated in Firefox from the version 2.x series to the version 3.x series, a manual uninstall of the older version will be in order.
Within Firefox click “Tools > Addons”… The Add-ons manager will look something like this:
Uninstall the old version.

Version 3.0.1 of the Bible Toolbar extension has been uploaded to bibletoolbar.net during this transitory phase so that people can download it without registering at Mozilla Addons. However, If you would like to see it public on the Mozilla Addons site, please do the following:
Read more on the Firefox Add-ons Policy and the Sandbox Review System… Once reviews are available for the extension, it can be nominated to become public. As it says on the nomination page, “Reviews are required to become public.â€

Version 3.0.1 of Bible Toolbar has been submitted to the Mozilla Addons site and is in the sandbox. It should be ready to nominate soon, but will require a little more testing… and of course a changelog will be posted soon.

The Firefox 3.0 compatible version of Bible Toolbar (ver. 3.0.0) has been submitted to Mozilla Addons and is in the sandbox. It is not ready to nominated yet because there are a few bugs that need resolved before it is “public†worthy among other things…

Firefox 3.0 has enhanced extension updating mechanisms. If user’s expect secure updates to the toolbar in the future, the extension must be hosted from a secure https link, or it can be secured via other means over a regular http link.
